Privacy
Gofors keeps as little as it can, only to get your goods from A to B.
What we keep
- Everyone: your name and phone number, as Telegram or WhatsApp shares them when you tap to verify.
- Customers: each job: what it is, the pickup place and the drop-off address, the price and how it went.
- Runners: your PayID and the name your bank shows for it, the suburb you start from (as a point on the map) and your ratings.
- Reviews: once a job is paid, the customer rates the runner and the runner rates the customer (stars, and a few words if they like). Each side sees the other's average stars, and only Gofors sees the words.
- Photos at pickup and drop-off stay on Telegram or WhatsApp. Gofors keeps a reference so the customer can see them.
Messages you send each other during a job are passed straight through the bot and not saved.
Who sees what
- Runners nearby see what a job is and the pickup place. Only the runner who takes it sees the drop-off address.
- Customers see their runner's first name and, once the goods are dropped off, their PayID to pay them.
- Addresses are looked up on OpenStreetMap (only the address text is sent).
- Gofors runs on Cloudflare, and the bots on Telegram and WhatsApp (Meta). Their servers may be outside Australia.
The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and which buttons people tap. It sets cookies in your browser and Google sees your IP address; it doesn't get anything you tell the bot. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker, and the site works the same.
We never sell your details or use them for advertising.
How long
Jobs are deleted after a year. Send /delete to the bot at any time and your number, details and job addresses are deleted straight away.
